Death & Resurrection

Death and Resurrection

In the Christian’s world, Easter is Jesus Christ’s victory over death. And his resurrection is the reason we can find hope in an everlasting life with Him. At Easter, we celebrate what is the biggest moment in history. We also remember how Jesus was persecuted and put to death. Jesus was crucified and took on the sins of the world, even though He was blameless. Because of this, many people wonder how this day could possibly be referred to as “good Friday.” For us to understand the good news of the gospel, we must first understand our sinful nature and our need for a Savior. Without Jesus, we are hopeless. We all have a sinful nature that causes us to fall short of His glory, and the due punishment is death. But because Jesus suffered a terrible death God’s can save us from our sins. Because Jesus conquered death, this made a way for all who believe in Him. If we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, we can receive forgiveness and salvation. But like all good news it is meant to be shared.

Jesus died for the sins of the world, and the gift of salvation is available to all who believe. As Christians, we are called to tell others about God and His great love for us.
