So, can we only say that our blessings are the good things in life…or can blessings be bigger than that…deeper than that …and somehow…. MORE? God did NOT save them from their punishment….He allowed them to succumb to the political forces of their day. He did not save them from their fear, worry or doubt. He did not save them from being tried and condemned. He did not even save them from being thrown into the fire… I want you to see that God is not your fairy godmother….he is not your butler. He is a good, good Father. And, in that enormous blessing of calling you His child, there are some repercussions.
